The Eaton Posi limited-slip differential prevents wheel slip before it can get started. A central spring assembly pre-loads a carbon disc clutch pack that is located behind each side gear. As torque input increases, the clamping load on the clutch packs also increases. This causes the clutch packs to grab and transfer power to the other wheel.
